Ferrari 348

Ferrari 348, in versions TB and TS, is one produced sport motor vehicle from the Ferrari, in substitution of Ferrari 328 from 1989 to 1993.

The TB is characterized from the typical auto body to berlinetta, while the TS is equipped of hard-top removable that ago to insert also in the type of car defined like Cars Plate.

Also in this case, like in many previous ones, for the acronym that it designates the car has chosen the numerical indication of the piston displacement, 3,4 l (3,405 cc for exactitude), continuation from the indication of the number of the cylinders.

The berlinetta it was found particularly to its comfort in track for via of the positioning of its motor centers them V8, than it rendered it very balanced and agile. These its dowries have been revealed also with the numerous victories of the 348, version from track, the 348 Challenge, used in several competitions between which the 24 Hours of the Mans.

Subsequently they have been introduced varying others, ovverosia the Spider, the GTB and the GTS. While before the draft of the version with capote in foldable burlap, the others two are modernizations of previous TB and TS. All these new versions are characterized from aesthetic and mechanical modernizations, in particular an increase of power from 300 to 320cv.

Produced from 1989 348 TB and TS, until 1993 with GTB and GTS for a total of 8.844 exemplary.

The design had to Pininfarina and was contraddistinto also from the front beacons to passing; some exemplary turn out have been modified in part from an other Italian carriage maker, Zagato, also in order to adapt them to the norms with respect to the automotive emergency in vigor in the United states.

It came replaced in the Ferrari catalogue from the F355 introduced in 1994.
